Rooftops of Tehran: Quotes

 Mahbod Seraji, Rooftops of Tehran

Life was a random series of beautifully composed vignettes, loosely tide together by a string of characters and time.

Stories aren’t just fantasies. They’re so much a part of the people who write them that they practically teach their readers invaluable lessons about life.

Time is the most precious thing we possess. It’s time to understand that we can’t waste any more time. It is not the consciousness of men that determines their social being; it’s their social being that determines their consciousness.

Happy the moment, when together, you and I.
In two forms, but one spirit, you and I.
Parrots of love in heaven they sing
And we’ll laugh cheerfully, you and I.
                                                                   – Rumi.

There must be death so that there can be life, there must be lies so that there can be truths, there must be darkness so that there can be light.

Life’s short, way too short. Enjoy every breath you take because no one knows what comes next. Through the eyes of creation, the time each of us spends on this planet is no longer than a blink! We have to live our lives trusting in God’s judgment. There’s reason for everything. Don’t waste you time asking God why because God doesn’t talk back. Somewhere down the road, though, he shows you signs that help you understand why things are the way they are.

It’s good to know somethings never change.

When you’re cheated out of life, you cheat back to get even.

Life is like a boat without sails; there is no telling where this boat will take us or which shore we’ll end up on. Sometimes it is wish not to fight the wind and accept things as they are, as painful as they may be, trusting in the wisdom of God and believing in the certainty of fate.

Life is like a laboratory in which people’s true characters are tested.

Living is like being lost in the desert where the stars are the only guide you can count on.
